Within the project the project ‘Cultural Centers – poles of excellence in promoting cross border living heritage’ funded by Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme, was organized a study visit of the managers/cultural referents from Cultural Houses from North Banat, Central Banat, South Banat, in Romania between 1-4th of March 2012. Program consisted on visits to the Cultural Houses and discussions with managers/cultural referents from Margina, Faget, Dudestii Noi and Becicherecu Mic, Romania and group work on the strategy and joint cross border projects.

Within the project the project ‘Cultural Centers – poles of excellence in promoting cross border living’ funded by Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme, was organized a study visit of the managers/cultural referents from Cultural Houses from Timis, Caras and Mehedinti Counties, in Serbia between 27h – 30st of December 2011. Program consisted of visits to the Cultural Houses and discussions with managers/cultural referents from Banatsko Novo Selo area, Serbia. During their stay also participated to the contest „Darapul de carnat” and to the release of the poetry book of Mr. Vasile Barbu from Uzdin, visited Libertatea newspaper headquarter, local TV from Pancevo and participated to the winter festival from Novo Selo.

Protocol

Article 1. A Cultural Cooperative Network in the Romania-Serbia cross-border area is established, consisting of partners and signatories of this protocol called “Banat Culture without frontiers”. Article 2. Cultural cooperation network will have as goal the unification of efforts of community and cultural resources in the region for a sustainable and continuous cross-border cultural cooperation. Article 3. The coordination of activities within the network will be provided by the Council of Presidents (directors) of the partners’ organizations. Article 4. Each year, the Coordination Council will adopt a minimal action plan with respect to the identified function and financial resources. Participation of partner organizations to these activities is voluntary and in accordance with their interests. At year end, we discuss how to fulfill this plan. Article 5. The partner organizations can promote in the network their own activities, especially those that have already become traditional. Article 6. The network remains open: the founding partners can attract other partners in the network with the same rights and duties. Article 7. In order to promote the activities of the network the media organizations will use their own mass media resources and will involve also media partners from the cross border area. Article 8. As a separate project aimed to promote and support the entire culture of the border, will seek to reach two quarterly cultural regular outlets, one on each side of the border. Article 9. A web page of the network will be realized and will be regularly updated based on information provided by partners’ organizations. Article 10. Leaving the network will be done by simply announcing the other partners. Article 11. Secretarial work within the network will be provided by the Cultural Association  ”Constantin Brancusi” ofTimisoara. Article 12. Any conflict between the network partners will be analyzed and solved by the Coordination Council.

Exchange visit I, Serbia

Within the project the project ‘Cultural Centers – poles of excellence in promoting cross border living’ funded by Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme, we organized a study visit of the managers/cultural referents from Cultural Houses from Timis, Caras and Mehedinti Counties, in Serbia between 28th – 31st of July 2011. Program consisted of visits to the Cultural Houses and discussions with managers/cultural referents from Banatsko Novo Selo area, Serbia. During their stay also participated to the festival „Drumul Spicelor” from Uzdin and “Trompeta Banateana” from Novo Selo.

Module I

Within the project “Cultural Centers – Poles of excellence in promoting cross border living heritage”, funded by IPA CBC Romania – Serbia, Cultural Association „Constantin Brancusi” Timisoara, in partnership with Center for Rural Assistance will organize the first training module session. The module designed for managers of cultural houses, based on their needs, will last for four days and includes sessions about communication, interculturality, cultural animation and community development. It starts on 7th July, at 10:00 a.m. at Moara cu Noroc hostel, Timisoara, Lirei Street 4, Lipovei area (http://www.hotelmoaracunoroctm.ro/locatie.php).

Selection and need assesment

We are in the final stage with the selection process of the participants to the training sessions within the project ““Cultural Centers – Poles of excellence in promoting cross border living heritage”, funded by IPA CBC Romania – Serbia.

Based on the data collected through the questionnaires received from the managers of cultural houses (Timis, Caras Severin and Mehedinti counties) and organized focus groups, the experts are working on an updated need assessment, in order to develop an adequate training programme, adapted to current needs.
